Spring 2025 Events: Series on Faculty Evaluation. Open to all faculty. These interactive sessions offer faculty at different stages in the promotion cycle an opportunity to hear tips from faculty colleagues appropriate to their career stage. All sessions will be held over Zoom. Sessions will not be recorded to encourage open discussion, but notes from past events and other P&T resources are posted here. Navigating Faculty Evaluation: Annual Appraisal
Geared toward new(ish) T/TT and CT faculty, this session aims to demystify the annual appraisal process. Facilitators will address common questions, such as: What is the purpose of appraisal? How should I prepare for it? What should I expect when I meet with my chair? Please join us for this relaxed session, meet some new colleagues, and ask all your questions. Strategic Approaches to P&T
This session is a twist on our traditional P&T panel. We will start with a brief presentation of the most important points collected from past years’ panels, followed by Q&A with recently promoted colleagues from across the university. Please come with all of your questions about timeline, assembling dossiers, external reviewers, etc. Notes: 2. ADVANCE generally holds a separate session for assistant professors earlier in their career, not quite ready to go up for promotion, in the fall semester. Planning for Promotion to Full Professor
This session will focus on tips and strategies specific to the promotion process to tenured full professor. Experienced professors from a range of disciplines will be there to answer your questions. Note: While CT faculty are welcome to attend, resources/events provided by the CT Caucus may provide better answers to questions specific to CT promotion to full professor. Fall 2024 Events2024 Workshops for Faculty Search Committees. Facilitated by UD ADVANCE Faculty Fellows, these discussion-intensive workshops were for members of faculty search committees.

Spring 2024 Workshops on Conducting Faculty Evaluation
The UD ADVANCE Institute has developed workshops on faculty evaluation geared toward members of faculty review committees (P&T or 2-/4-year review). Workshops are based on results from the COACHE Faculty Satisfaction Survey and UD ADVANCE interviews with faculty on their experiences of P&T at UD.
This spring’s workshops will focus on strategies to foster smooth and transparent evaluation processes. Workshops are interactive and will be facilitated by UD ADVANCE Faculty Fellows.
