In the 2025 edition of Best Graduate Schools, U.S. News and World Report ranked the University of Delaware's graduate programs among the best in the nation.
UD’s consistently top-ranked physical therapy program remained in the top three nationwide. This is the first year U.S. News and World Report ranked speech-language pathology programs with UD’s inaugural ranking at #32.

The preceding list only includes subject areas evaluated in this year's edition published to date. U.S. News and World Report has delayed the announcement of two programs that were slated to be included in the rankings: Best Engineering Schools and Programs, and Best Clinical Psychology Programs. The lists will be updated as soon as the data are available.

The 2025 edition of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Graduate Schools has ranked the University of Delaware's engineering program at #38 nationally, a jump of four spots. Additionally, UD’s consistently top-ranked chemical engineering graduate program remained in the top 10 nationally at #7.
“This momentum in the rankings reflects the outstanding work of our dedicated faculty, staff and students, as well as the strategic investments that the University has made to strengthen our intellectual capital, expand our academic programs, enhance our research capacity and provide unique opportunities to learn and grow,” said UD President Dennis Assanis. “UD’s top-notch engineering program is educating the workforce of the future and driving the growth of the Delaware region’s economy while also solving critical problems around the world."

Six University of Delaware online graduate programs are ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2024 U.S. News Best Online Programs.
UD’s online master’s in education programs ranked 19th out of 303, seeing upward momentum in the rankings since 2019.
UD’s online MBA programs moved up four spots to No. 29 out of 345 programs, eclipsing other Philadelphia region business schools. Related, UD’s online master’s in business programs (excluding MBA) ranked No. 85 out of 213 programs.
In a new ranking for UD, UD’s online master’s in information technology programs ranked No. 50 out of 92 programs. UD's online master’s in engineering programs ranked No. 65, and the online master’s in nursing programs ranked No. 133.
