Processes in Residence Life & Housing that are coming soon or are open now
The housing application for newly admitted first year students for Fall 2024 is open! The application can be found at the My Housing Portal and students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline, which has been extended to on June 5, 2024 at 5 p.m. While the application will remain open after June 5, students will not be able to indicate room type interests, request roommates, or apply to an LLC.
Eligible students seeking a housing exemption to live off campus must complete a First Year Exemption Request in the My Housing Portal by June 5 instead of a housing application.

The application for summer session housing is now open! Current undergraduate students at the Newark campus taking at least one in-person summer session course, international students unable to travel home, or students experiencing housing insecurity are eligible to apply. We recommend applying by May 21 for the best consideration as space is limited. Learn more in our application guide.
The returning student application for next year’s housing closed on February 29 at 5pm. The late application is now open for eligible students who missed the deadline to apply. Eligible students include current undergraduate students (freshman, sophomore, etc.) who will return to the Newark campus next year as well as Associate in Arts students transitioning to the Newark campus in the fall. The application is non-guaranteed, and our ability to offer housing will depend on space availability. Some students may not hear if they will receive housing until August.
The 2024-2025 on-campus housing application for Fall 2024 transfer students (not admitted as a freshman) is available now in the My Housing Portal. Housing for these transfer students is not required or guaranteed, but interested students must apply to be considered for a space. We recommend applying by June 21, 2024 for the best consideration.
